Strength & Conditioning

David Marshall is the Director of the Athletes Xcel Sports Performance Training program at Spooner Physical Therapy, and has been providing elite sports performance training for several of the CISCO teams over the past two years.  He has been working with a variety of youth and professional athletes in Arizona for the past eight years, helping them achieve optimal gains in their sport performance.  Based out of our Scottsdale location, David directs a professional staff committed to providing the highest quality sports performance training for the CISCO teams and athletes.  Our team ready to assist the CISCO athletes consists of Physical Therapists, Athletic Trainers, and Strength and Conditioning Specialists.

The uniqueness of the Athletes Xcel Sports Performance Training Program, (based out of our Spooner Physical Therapy clinics, and supervised by athletic trainers and strength and conditioning specialists), provides us with exceptional training with both a pre / rehabilitative and sport specific dimension built into them.  The majority of our CISCO training focuses on team speed, agility, sport specific strength, power development, and overall soccer conditioning.  We work closely with the CISCO professional staff to design our training programs, and each program is designed to be specific and appropriate for the individual athlete’s and team’s needs and goals.  Current research on sport specific injury trends provides us with the ability to include training that is designed for the prevention of injuries that are common in the sport of soccer.  If an injury does occur, we are able to offer physical therapy and post-rehab programs to help our CISCO athletes’ transition and bridge the gap from the injury / rehab phase to returning to competition.

Including elite multidimensional sport specific training in the CISCO Soccer Program, allows us to provide the CISCO athletes with all the tools they need to be successful and out perform the competition. If you have any questions and / or concerns, or if you would like your team or athlete to begin training please feel free to contact David Marshall at Athletes Xcel at any time.

Sincerely,

David Marshall BS, CSCS
